A Bit About Us

Doug’s insight to Biblical truth has served him well in youth ministry-where he was first called to teach, and then as a pastor. Doug has been in pastoral ministry since 1992 where he has brought the life-changing gospel message to countless people through preaching, teaching, and one-on-one ministry.  He has preached at more than a dozen revivals, youth events, men’s ministry meetings, single-day church events, and community gatherings.

Leslie’s many years of counseling training and experience have developed a framework of wisdom and insight that allows her to minister effectively both inside and outside of the counseling room. She is passionate about guiding others through the process of discovering true freedom and victory in Christ by identifying rood issues of the heart and offering Christ as the solution. She shares her knowledge through her ongoing counseling ministry, as well as through speaking engagements and blogging.

Doug and Leslie have been married since 1989. They have four beautiful daughters and three awesome sons-in-laws. Two sweet little girls that call them Nana and Grump (yeah, you read right—Grump. Sometimes, the shoe just doesn’t fit). They have called Illinois their home forever. They like to ride Doug’s Harley and spend time with family.

God’s Richest Blessings

“I have had the honor of knowing Pastor Doug Davis and his talented wife Leslie for almost (20) years. They are both fully mature Christians with a genuine passion to see others become followers of Our Lord Jesus Christ. They are both skilled in teaching the principles of a godly marriage found in Scripture in a clear and understandable manner. Both have a desire to see marriages restored, improved and strengthened.

“They have developed a couples’ curriculum that can be used to deepen relationships between husbands, wives and their walk with the Lord. Their skills, abilities and giftedness in the area of a retreat setting are invaluable. Every church that is looking for a way to impact the marriage commitment of couples in their church should give careful consideration to inviting Doug and Leslie to lead a conference or marriage retreat.

“Above all, Pastor Doug has a heart for evangelism, and those attending one of their seminars will hear and have an opportunity to respond to the good news of the Gospel. I hope you will give careful consideration to scheduling Doug and Leslie in the near future.

Salvation and personal revival was emphasized in every service

“Pastor Doug Davis has preached for me on several occasions – from filling the pulpit to doing a Revival. Our people love his presentation, illustrations, and the fact that he stays true to the Word. His messages are simple while being thorough, broad enough to hit every heart, personal, and led by the Holy Spirit. Salvation and personal revival was emphasized in every service.

“I have asked Pastor Doug back several times; he has always been faithful to preach the Word with clarity and passion and joy. His messages have been helpful for everyone who was in the service. And he always brought glory to the Lord Jesus.”

There is an authenticity there and love for Jesus that cannot be fabricated

“After meeting Pastor Davis at an annual meeting, I reached out to him to speak at a special event called ‘The Great Steakout’ which was a men’s only outreach which included a steak dinner. Pastor was more than willing to accommodate us, though his schedule was full and he ministers over an hour away. Without a doubt Brother Doug significantly impacted the men that night and I was able to follow up with several who had been stirred by his message. The same could be said about the very next year when the men asked for him to come back and speak again. His approach is very down to Earth and applicable to his audience. There is an authenticity there and love for Jesus that cannot be fabricated, and his joy in the Lord is infectious and inspiring. I cannot recommend Pastor Davis more for your special event or revival series.”

I hope to have her back at our next event

“Leslie was the first speaker I have booked through GigSalad and she did not disappoint. She was very professional. We are Pregnancy Center that have been open for only a couple of years and Leslie combined our name of our center into her message and totally nailed it! Everyone really enjoyed her speaking to our group. I hope to have her back at our next event.”

We love when Leslie comes to our events

“Our ladies at Solid Rock Chapel love when Leslie comes to our events. Leslie has spoken at several of our Ladies Group ‘Pajama Parties’ and her sweet, kind spirit always shines through. (Yes, she taught in her pajamas at our request even though that was out of her comfort zone!) Her messages are so practical and Spirit-filled! We would highly recommend her for your event!”
